My Journey
Integration is the key to successful digital transformation.
My journey started in a technical support call centre in 2005, moving quickly into software development. Since then I've been devoted to helping businesses with software integration. My customers come from different places on the integration maturity spectrum, and I've helped solve real-world problems in a variety of industries, with a variety of hats.
My integration experience has helped address a wide variety of enterprise-scale business process improvements and using a combination of experience and technical knowledge I have been trusted to advise on modern integration architecture, applying best practices for architecture, design, testing and deployment and operations project phases. In recent times I have pivoted from SOA to more contemporary approaches to integration; including technologies suited/built for cloud and hybrid application landscapes.
As a practice lead for integration, I focused on delivering engaging customer experiences through 4 pillars of success:
1. Ensuring people have the tools, support and training they need to remain happy and productive.
2. Building and nurturing a pipeline of work through regular interactions with customers.
3. Understanding market trends, unifying IP and advising on a strategic direction for the practice.
4. Administration, progressing opportunity through CRM, timesheets, bookings and forecasts.
I have generated pipelines of work by developing technology-agnostic integration resources, and continue to standardise Empired's approach for integration opportunities.
In my role as a principal consultant, I provide integration advisory services to Empired internally and externally to prospective and existing customers. I have also provided real-world scenario demonstrations of integration service implementation to potential clients, bridging the gap between sales and delivery.
